Castanha

Castanha, or Brazil nut, produces an oil with an extraordinary power to deeply nourish and moisturize skin.

Rich in omega-6 and omega-9, Castanha oil stimulates the production of structured proteins in the deepest layers of the skin, nourishing skin with intense moisturization.

The Castanha tree, known as the Queen of the Forest, is one of the oldest trees in the Amazon. Its fruits are like capsules that hold the Castanha nuts like a true treasure.

The Castanha nuts are sustainably harvested by 182 families from local communities in the Amazon region. Local harvesters travel by the river to remote areas where they settle for weeks to collect the Castanha nuts. In traditional Amazonian communities, the women press the Castanhas by hand and extract the nourishing white milk they produce. The Castanha tree supplies one of the main sources of protein for the Amazonian communities, sustaining both mankind and animals.

Endlessly rich in benefits, the Castanha nuts are transformed into an oil or butter or milk that nourishes even the deepest layers of the skin.
